Design Board : Katie Nesbitt Photography

I love my clients! I know I say it a lot, but I really do mean it. During our first phone meeting, Katie had me laughing out loud from the start! Her personality is so amazing, and it really got me excited about this project & the re-branding of Katie Nesbitt Photography. Here’s how the new brand identity will feel:

Katie loves all things natural with a classic feel. With that said, it’s really important her new identity feels fun! Her photos are full of life and the new site & logo will share that same feel. I can’t wait to share the final product in a few weeks. Until then, be sure to stop by Katie’s current blog to say hi & see her beautiful work!

Design Board : Lucida Photography

When Melia was explaining her living room during our first meeting, I was getting super excited about this project. She told me about all of the shades of white, and other muted colors that created this super warm atmosphere … then we talked about translating it into the new Lucida Photography brand:

Jules & Melia have an amazing eye for photography … I mean, like AMAZING! They love design & believe it means so much to their brand, but they also don’t want anything that will over-shadow the soft, natural feel of their portraits. We’ll be working together to create a brand that feels just like their work: down to earth, fresh and comfortable. Until I’m back to share the final logo, be sure to stop by their blog to see their work … I’m telling you, IT’S GOOD!

Design Board : The Nickersons

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you had an amazing weekend!! The skies were mostly blue here in Portland … which means, we had a happy weekend! I wanted to pop in today to share a design board for a really fun project I’m working on.

Sarah & Graeme are The Nickersons … An amazing, Vacouver based photography duo. They’ve been evolving as a couple & as business partners, and it’s finally time that their brand represents both of them! Here’s what the new brand will feel like:

I am IN LOVE with this board. They are all about relationships … making sure their clients are more like friends & feel super comfortable during the entire experience. While they’re drawn to cooler colors, this board exudes so much warmth. Overall, this brand will feel comfortable & fresh … they’re like a breath of fresh air.

Until I’m ready to show the final identity, be sure to pop over to their current blog to say hello!

Design Board : Claire Miranda

Happy Monday everyone! I know it’s been quite awhile since I’ve dropped in over here … we’ve been super busy lately, and I cannot wait to share what we’ve been up to! For now, I wanted to share a new design board.

When Claire first contacted me, I was so excited to work with her! She’s been shooting for quite awhile, and her studio is growing big time! She’s branching out from shooting weddings to shooting super-fun family & lifestyle work! Her new brand will be Claire Miranda, and here’s how it’ll feel:

I absolutely LOVE that Claire isn’t afraid of color. This is by far the boldest color scheme we’ve worked with, and I couldn’t be more excited about it! The entire brand will have a European sophistication mixed with colorful fun. So so so excited!

Design Board : Lovisa Photo

Happy Monday! We hope you had an amazing holiday weekend. It was our first Christmas away from family … but we are feeling so blessed that we had some amazing friends to spend the weekend with. We ate way too much food, and even watched some sappy holiday movies.

We’re really excited to be back in the studio this week to wrap up the last week of 2011. It’s crazy to think this year is already almost over. We wanted to pop in to share an awesome design board for our latest branding project. Dan & Erin of Lovisa Photo are absolutely wonderful, and this project has been the project I’ve been dreaming of!

Dan & Erin are amazing … They are two friends who found a common love of photography and set out on this business adventure together. They’ve been shooting weddings & engagements in Southern California since 2009, and their photographic style is genuine, bold, happy & clean. We are working together now to bring these values into their brand identity and infuse that throughout their entire brand. It’s all about creating that cohesive experience! I am so so so excited to show you what we’ve been working on. Seriously, these two are so great, and any logo to represent them will have to be equally as exciting! Until then, be sure to check out their blog & visit their site.

Brand Identity : Amanda Megan Miller

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying your week and the last few days before Christmas. We enjoyed a snowy day on Mt. Hood yesterday, so we’re feeling rejuvenated and ready to finish out the last few days of 2011.

We just wrapped up a brand identity project with Amanda of Amanda Megan Miller Photography, and can’t wait to share! Last time Amanda was on the site, we were introducing her design board. I think our previous post really speaks to the goals for this project:

As a newlywed herself, Amanda has a fabulous insight into what it takes to create a unique and special wedding day. She is meticulous and careful about finding clients that share the same passion for life & love that she has. Her philosophy (which I’m obsessed with) is: ‘Love is love is love’. When putting elements together for her design board, we wanted to keep that idea in our heads. She’s a self-described hopeless romantic with a sassy side. This means her photography tells the same story. We’ll be bringing together elements that encapsulate indie style, vintage glam, and all things sparkly to tell this story.

After bringing the elements from Amanda’s design board & personality together, we’ve finalized her new logo:

I love everything about this new logo … It’s classy & chic, all while feeling a little art deco. Amanda loves vintage sings and classic typography. We wanted to pay homage to that design era without being too trendy. By giving the type a classic shape treatment, and keeping everything as clean as possible, I think we’ve created a logo that represents Amanda’s style perfectly! To wrap up the project, we are working with Amanda to create some beautiful printed pieces … just wait until you see them!

Be sure to check out Amanda’s site & blog. If you’re looking for a super talented photographer in Chicago, be sure to say hello!

Design Board : Woodland Papercuts

If you were to ask me if I had a soulmate in the design world, I’d probably say it’s Naomi … the owner and super talented artist behind Woodland Papercuts. Her work is absolutely jaw-dropping and her focus on giving her clients the best experience possible is quite inspiring. When Naomi approached me about working together to revamp her brand identity, I was absolutely thrilled.

Naomi focuses mostly on intricate papercuts. The work is highly personal & takes a great deal of patience and time. Most of her clients are overseas, so it is super important that her brand be represented heavily through her packaging and correspondence. She loves a very delicate aesthetic, yet wants her brand identity to feel comfortable and a little magical. Her draw towards natural elements with whimsical charm made me know this project would be amazing. I look forward to sharing what we have in the works.

Until then, be sure to visit her site and her shop to say hello and see her amazing work.

Design Board : Diana Deaver Weddings

When I first saw the amazing work of Diana Deaver, I was so excited to work with her. I quickly learned the commercial work I saw wasn’t even scratching the surface, as she had an entire wedding photography & cinematography business as well! Shortly after meeting, I spoke with Diana and her partner, Steven, about Diana Deaver Weddings and what they were hoping to accomplish with their re-brand.

Diana & Steven have an amazing eye for details. Their photography is so grand & elegant, yet pure & simple at the same time. Their focus on the love of their clients makes it all work so beautifully together. D&S are both bringing their own style to the table for this project: Diana loves all things elegant, classic & beautiful. Steven is drawn to beautiful simplicity, clean design & nature. As we get further into their project, it’s becoming obvious that those two sides can work perfectly with each other and blend into a brand identity that will represent the two of them, and their collaborative work. I can’t wait to share the final logo in just a few short weeks! Until then, be sure to check out their blog!
